Preacher:
Passage: Luke 12:15; 1 Peter 1:3-9; Acts 1:8; Romans 1:16; Hosea 6:3; Ephesians 2:8; Luke 5:18-21; 1 John 1:9; Luke 21:14-15; John 10:4-5; 2 Kings 6:17; Daniel 3:24; Luke 24:16-32; Luke 8:18; Luke 7:9; Mark 6:6

Luke 12:15 – The Church is the richest place in the universe, but watch out, be on your guard against all greed

1 Peter 1:3-9

Acts 1:8 – The Initial evidence of the baptism and infilling of the Holy Spirit is Holy Ghost boldness!

Romans 1:16 – Do not be ashamed of the Gospel – it is the power of God for salvation.
When you lie on your bed even, earnestly desire & seek God & all that He wants to give you.  God is the Good Father.

Hosea 6:3 – Let us know, let us press on to know the Lord!   This is the impetus of the Holy Spirit – to press on & press into God.

Ephesians 2:8 – For it is by faith you are saved through faith, that does not come of yourselves! – It is His doing!

Rick Joiner, from Morning Star Press, said – “I have one regret in life, that I did not extract more out of the difficult times.”
To remember the tears and something of the nearness and sweetness of God.

Clip from “The Chosen” – healing of the Paralytic!!
Peter called to Mary – Can you believe we are really here for this??!!
Mary – says “yes!”
In the upset of the roof being removed, Jesus speaks into the mess “Your faith is beautiful!”

Luke 5:18-21 – Jesus’ healing of the Paralytic
v20 – When Jesus saw their faith… He said, “Your sins are forgiven!”

1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness!

Luke 21:14-15 – It all comes back to faith being a relationship with the Lord.   Relationships are intentional!

John 10:4-5 – “My sheep *listen* to My voice”   God has a lot to say about a lot!!

2 Kings 6:17 – Elisha’s servant… wakes up… and…   (or, …  you know you’re having a bad day when..!)  he saw all the enemy army’s hosts surrounding the city and he started to panic!
Elisha prays for him & prays “Lord Open his eyes…”

Daniel 3:24  – Three  men in the fiery furnace!   Here is a beautiful picture of (the pre-incarnate) God in the middle of our messes!!

Luke 24:16-32  On the road to Emmaus, the disciples were so downcast – all their hopes and dreams for a the Kingdom of God were nailed & crucified on the cross…
But then!  Jesus started walking beside them!    And afterward they realized that “did not our hearts burn within us?”

Luke 8:18 – Consider carefully how we listen, Be careful how you listen. Be humble!

Two of the two or three recorded incidents of the Amazement of Jesus – About Faith:

Luke 7:9   – A centurion Soldier seeking prayer and healing for his servant –   Jesus was amazed at this soldier’s faith!!
Mark 6:6  – Jesus was amazed at their lack of faith!

Faith is the greatest adventure – we can ever have!

If we walk this life by faith & trust in the Lord and His word, then we will see things that we would otherwise never have seen!

And be willing to let go!   As Corrie Ten Boom has wisely shared,  its better to open your hands and let go than have God rip it out of your hand!
